A new trend in the concrete industry is the use of water repellent infused acrylic coatings. This type of coating will offer the benefits of a water repellent sealer and the benefits of an acrylic coating.

When the Armor AX25 is applied to the concrete, the siloxane additive will separate from the acrylic and penetrate into the concrete. The acrylic will be left on the surface where it hardens into a coating. The siloxane will work to reduce the movement of moisture through the concrete and provide the acrylic with superior repellency characteristics. The siloxane will also contribute to the acrylic have an increased resistance to chlorine and salt water.

Siloxane acrylic sealers work great when being applied to areas that are constantly exposed to water, such as a pool deck.
