Hardeners & Densifiers
The most popular types of hardeners and densifiers are sodium silicates and lithium silicates. Potassium silicates are making their way into the market but they do not perform as well as sodium and lithium based products.

Typically, once a hardener is applied it can be left as-is or polished.
Durable Coatings
Durable floor coatings include aliphatic urethanes, polyaspartics, epoxies, acrylics and combination coatings (epoxy base coat and an aliphatic top coat). Coatings are specific to the use. For example, aliphatics have a superior resistance to chemicals where epoxies are commonly used in applications where moisture is present.
